We’re Hiring a Postdoc in Geospatial Analytics

The Center for Geospatial Sciences at the University of California, Riverside solicits applications for a postdoctoral scholar to support its ongoing projects focused on scalable geospatial analytics in the social sciences. The postdoctoral scholar will work under the supervision of Professor Sergio Rey and in collabora- tion with CGS and UCR faculty. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in geography, computer science, statistics, urban planning, or a closely related field, as well as the potential or demonstrated ability to conduct independent quantitative research in geographic data science, and possess familiarity with computational social science. Candidates with experience in geocomputation and Python are highly desired and experience with distributed computing and/or parallel processing is a plus.
